sarnafilmes was founded in 2001 by Paola Prestes, a documentarian with a degree in Fine Arts from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado – FAAP, São Paulo, and a specialization in Documentary Film Making from Fundação Getúlio Vargas – FGV, São Paulo. This project of a video production system, that has the collaboration of Matias Lancetti (editor) and Juliana Kase (production), was born from the need to make documentaries and experiment new audiovisual possibilities that are agile and contemporary, without overlooking rigor and quality.

By quality, we mean the joint effort of qualified professionals committed to understanding the conceptual needs of a project within its budgetary possibilities. We want to go beyond a mere technical accomplishment by offering a sensitive and sensible view that comprehends form and content.



Our main goal remains to discuss art, people and Brazil through an audiovisual tool, hoping each new work will be a register of our culture, the creation of new audiovisual food for thought, and that viewers will take part in our findings and audiovisual discussions.
